The Pyramids – Paintball Scenario

In 1901 British archaeologists Sir Flinders Hawthorne unearthed beneath the desert sands of Abyodos, southern Egypt a 3 meter high central pyramid, surrounded by many smaller pyramids laid out in a geometric design.

This unique find, so different from the larger fourth dynasty pyramids one typically associates with Egyptian civilisation was a mystery. After excavation of the smaller surrounding pyramids, Sir Flinders felt he had discovered the truth about his find.

The Pyramids Paintball Scenario

He had found the pro-genitor of all pyramids, the oldest pyramid yet known, dating back to the origins of the Egyptian civilisation’ which the later Egyptians themselves believe arose as an island from the waters of chaos.

What Sir Flinders also discovered was that the three meter high central pyramid was dedicated jointly both to the first unknown pharaoh and also to Osiris, feared Egyptian god of the dead.

He reasoned that the meaning of this dual dedication was that of the two entrances of the central pyramid, one would contain the treasures of the first pharaoh, whilst within the other lay the curse of Osiris, god of the dead, who was said to kiss his victims to send them to the nightland of eternal sleep.

As Sir Flinders tried to solve the riddle of the two tomb entrances, a rival team of German archaeologists led by the charismatic Bavarian rhignhard gerd, planned to be first to enter the central pyramid. The race to discover the secrets of the central pyramid came to a head on midsummers eve 1902.

In truth what happened on that night will never be known, but as the sun rose over the egyptian desert the bodies of the German archiologist lay twisted and contorted dead in the sands, having suffered the agonies of the curse of Osiris. Sir flinders on the other hand returned to England, a wealthy man and was fated for his discoveries by the royal society.

In this game the two rival groups will set of for the central pyramid. will your team suffer the curse of osiris god of the dead? or will you, like sir flinders gain the priceless crystal, treasure of the unknown pharaoh?
